"The CoolClimate Network Provides a variety of tools for households and small businesses, as well as smaller widgets.

Member organizations of the CoolClimate Network Consortium can have calculators pre-set for their location integrated into their site. The Oregon DEQ Calculator provides a great example of this.

Premium partners have the opportunity to developed highly customized calculators for their company or organization. As an example see the World Wildlife Fund Calculator.

Calculators

The U.S. Household Calculator with Community Support enables individuals or households to calculate their carbon footprints to get personlized advice on managing their personal impact. Our Take Action pages recommends customized pledges to reduce carbon footprints and save money.
Users can also see how they compare to households of similar size, location and income, or compare themselves to state, national and global averages. The carbon footprints and comparisons in this version utilize data and calculations that are the most detailed, robust and up-to-date available.
Additionally, this version features community support tools which allow users to register on the site, save their footprint and pledges to a profile, and join or create custom groups. Community management features are under development for and international versions. The calculator and community management features can be provided for outside websites for local governments, businesses or organizations outside of California through the CoolClimate Network Membership Program.

The U.S. Small Business Calculator enables small business owners or managers to calculate the carbon footprint of their business and make customized pledges to reduce carbon footprints and save money. The calculator also shows comparisons to similar businesses as well as state and national benchmarks. The carbon footprints and comparisons in this version utilize data and calculations that are the most detailed, robust and up-to-date available.

Widgets

The Climate Actions Widget, powered by CoolCalifornia.org allows users to view and customize individual pledges in a small web-based application that can be added to any outside site.
Examples of actions included in the widgets range from calculating carbon and financial savings from carpooling, bicycling instead of driving, switching to more efficient light bulbs, using smart power strips, shorter showers and many other pledges. The carbon footprints and comparisons in this version utilize data and calculations that are the most detailed, robust and up-to-date available.

The Full U.S. Household Calculator Widget can be used to calculate footprints and view comparisons to benchmarks or similar households based on an older, less-detailed data set (2008). This widget can be added into any site for free.

The Small U.S. Household Calculator Widget can be used to quickly estimate footprints and view comparisons to similar households or benchmark values. This is also based on the older, less-detailed data set (2008). This widget can be added into any site for free."
